This week we sit down with Toby Canto the writer/director of the horror comedy "Knock Knock". His film tells the story of down-on-his-luck former boxer Sam Grant, who one night finds himself caught in a whirlwind of conjecture and conundrum as his colorful and quirky neighbors come to him with scary tales of their apartment's mysterious new resident. Inspired by the retro horror classics of VHS days gone by.

Rumors are spreading around Transylvania that Halloween could cease to exist. Dracula, the king of the monsters, sets up a meeting with the lousy Monster Squad to see whats going on. One of them decides they want to quit being a monster, and if they quit it means the end of Halloween! Can Dracula, Igor, The Mummy, The Frankenstein Creature, The Werewolf and The Zombie save Halloween? Let's pop this recorded off TV spooky holiday cheese into the VCR and find out!

38 "Ernest Scared Stupid"

Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, Freddy, Chucky, Trantor... Ernest? These are the names that come to mind when one thinks of Halloween legends. Of course Ernest probably isn't first on the list but he's not dead last so there that going for him. This is a VHS Bandits Halloween time must right up there with Hocus Pocus and The Monster Squad. When the lovably dumb Ernest awakes an ancient Troll, because why not, he teams up with local 12-year-olds before the monster can turn the children into wooden dolls and bring forth his army of trolls! No counselor is as scary as fat camp entrepreneur Tony Perkins, played by Ben Stiller. Devil logs, deli meats, and random ass Apache relays don't stand a chance against Tony and his evil gang of maybe-Austrian counselors. He bought up the camp and is determined to change the entire team of The Mighty Ducks from fat to... less fat.

If there is one thing that you can rely on the VHS Bandits for it's watching VHS tapes. If there's a second thing it's watching VHS tapes that star Clint Howard. That's right the podcast's favorite actor is back in Ticks! Seth Green, Carlton from Fresh prince, and Clint Howard take on these blood thirsty bugs on some weird camping trip that's not really ever explained but, who cares... TICKS! The effects are great and we've been bitten by the VHS bug that is Ticks. Also there may have been actual bugs in the tape...

If you ever wondered how Santa punishes those that are naughty...this movie will really raise your eyebrows...just like the main character does almost 200 times in the movie. We watched Uwe Boll's interpretation of House of the Dead and we answered many questions, but ended up asking more. Were they still printing VHS in 2003? Yes. Was Sega Saturn still relevant in 2003? No. Did anybody besides Topher own a Sega Saturn? Who knows. One of our favorite childhood videos games hit the small screen and, much like the zombies in the movie, we relive the pain and suffering brought on by House of the Dead. 26 "Gremlins 2: The New Batch"

You voted and we delivered. Here it is, the fan picked episode Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Arguably this is Howie Mandel's greatest role to date as he provides the voice for Gizmo who of course gets water on him and pops out one of the best sequels ever made. The only thing the original Gremlins was missing was a Bat Gremlin, Vegetable Gremlin, Electricity Gremlin, an intellectual English speaking Gremlin, a talking building, a musical number, inter-species Gremlin+Human love making, more Dick Miller, more Hulk Hogan, and more the dude from The Burbs. This episode is a fan recommendation and we owe a very big thank you to Scottie Lovern who mailed us one of the most kooky movies we've watched yet: Double Dragon! Is this movie a true adaptation of the classic video game from which it's based on? Who knows, but it kicks ass regardless. This movie has it all, Evil Guy Fieri, Reptilian Samurai, Dookie Water, other stuff, and more! If you wanted Escape from LA to be an hour an a half longer then Double Dragon is the answer to your weird sad prayer. The only thing that could make this movie better would be a cameo from the Battle Toads themselves, but we'll settle for a bloated gum ball gutter punk. Nope, this isn't a retelling of a late night erotic art piece on the scrambled Spice Network; this is Daniel Stern's 1995 cult classic Bushwhacked! The VHS Bandits are joined by superfan Jimmy Alicata as we watched this movie based on his recomendation. This flick is even funnier 22 years later. Merry Christmas all you bandits out there in Podcastland! And what would Christmas be without a jolly and reputable Santa Claus? Well, it'd be Santa with Muscles. Hulk Hogan plays some roid-head supplement pusher who shoots at policemen, bumps his head on a trashcan, gets taken under the wing of Big Bob from that 70's Show, and then has to save an orphanage for some reason, all the while fighting off mad scientists. Santa with Muscles gets to the true meaning of Christmas which is... whey protein... maybe? You may remember this little sub-human Hitleresque sports nut from television flipping between Cinemax late night and scrambled Spice Network. "Who the hell orders this crap?" You pondered. Well, somebody did and Dorf on Golf has made its way into our hands. 17 "I Come in Peace"

At the height of 80s action, at the height of the war on drugs, at the height of Dolph Lundgren's career, at the height of alien drug dealer invasions, at the height of... You get it, we watched I Come in Peace. If there was ever a movie that could get these damn kids off drugs it would be this movie. This is way more entertaining than shooting up in a back ally trading loose teeth for syringes and if that's not enough of a reason not to do drugs either Dolph Lundgren or a 7 ft tall alien will shoot you in the face causing you and everything around you to explode.
